Locating and Editing Device Name

  • 📄 Within System Settings, select the General section.
  • ℹ️ Then, choose the About option.
  • ✏️ At the top of the 'About' section, you will see your current MacBook's name.
  • ⌨️ Select the text, backspace to delete it, and then type your desired new name for the device.

Finalizing the Change

  • ⏎ Press Enter to confirm the new name.
  • 🗂️ You can then close the System Settings menu.
  • ✅ The device name has now been successfully changed.
