How to Change Time on GARMIN Forerunner 970: Manual & Auto Settings

Accessing Time Settings

• 💡 To begin changing the time, press and hold the Up button to open the main menu.
• 📌 Navigate to Watch Settings, then select System, and finally tap on Time.

Setting the Time

• ⚙️ Within the Time menu, locate the Set Time option.
• ⏱️ By default, the watch is set to Auto, which adjusts time via GPS or internet connection.
• ✍️ To manually set the time, select Manual and then swipe up or down to adjust the hours and minutes.
• ✅ Confirm the time by pressing the start button, and then press it again to apply the changes.

Time and Date Format Options

• 🕛 If using a 12-hour format, you can select AM or PM after setting the time.
• 📅 The watch also allows customization of the Time Format (12-hour or 24-hour/military) and Date Format (e.g., Day/Month/Year, Month/Day/Year).
• ↩️ Press the back button multiple times to return to the watch face, where the updated time will be displayed.
