How to Change Samsung Galaxy Side Button Back to Power Button

Default Side Button Behavior

• 📱 On newer Samsung Galaxy phones, the side button (formerly power key) defaults to opening Gemini instead of the power menu.
• ⚠️ Pressing and holding the side button will not bring up the power menu by default.

Accessing the Power Menu

• ⚡ The power menu can still be accessed by simultaneously pressing the side button and volume down button.

Restoring Classic Power Button Functionality

• ⚙️ To change the side button back to its original power button function, navigate to Settings.
• 🔧 Within Settings, select Advanced Features.
• 🖱️ Choose Side Button from the Advanced Features menu.
• 👆 Under the 'Long press' option, select Power off menu.

Testing the Change

• ✅ After making the adjustment, a long press of the side button will now correctly bring up the power menu, allowing you to power off or restart your device.
