Accessing Chat Display Settings

🖱️ To begin, open the main menu by pressing the menu button (top-right), the Escape key on your keyboard, or the menu button on your controller.
⚙️ Once in the main menu, navigate to Settings, then select the Other section.
📌 Within the Other section, scroll down to find Social preferences.

Understanding Chat Display Modes

💬 At the top of the Social preferences menu, you will find the Chat Display option.
🎭 Social mode displays chat messages on the HUD and provides quick access to emotes. This mode is also used by default in online play.
🏞️ Exploration mode offers a minimal chat interface, hiding quick access to emotes, which is ideal for solo play.
✅ Switching between these modes allows you to customize your in-game communication experience based on your playstyle.
