How to Boot the ASUS Chromebook C434T from a USB Drive or Micro SD Card

Preparing Your Boot Media

• 💡 You will need either a USB 2.0 flash drive with the Chrome OS recovery tool or a micro SD card.

Locating Ports and Shutting Down

• 📌 The micro SD card slot is located on the right edge of the Chromebook.
• 📌 The USB Type-A port is located on the left edge of the Chromebook.
• 🔌 Ensure the Chromebook is completely turned off before proceeding, either by holding the power button or selecting the shutdown option.

Accessing the Boot Menu

• 🔑 To access the boot menu, simultaneously press and hold the Escape and Refresh keys.
• ⚡ While holding these keys, briefly press the power button.
• 🖱️ You can then insert your prepared USB flash drive or micro SD card.

Booting and Returning to Chrome OS

• 🚀 The device will then boot from the selected external media.
• ✅ To restart and return to Chrome OS, simply press the power button once more.
