How to Block, Limit, or Mute Messages on the X App

Managing Direct Messages on X

• 💡 The X app offers three primary methods to manage direct messages: blocking all DMs, blocking a specific user, or muting notifications.

Blocking All Direct Messages

• 🚫 To prevent everyone from messaging you, navigate to your profile picture, then 'Settings and privacy', followed by 'Privacy and safety'.
• ✉️ Within 'Direct messages', find 'Allow message requests from' and change the setting from 'Everyone' to 'Verified users'.
• ✅ This ensures only people you follow and who follow you back can send you messages.

Blocking a Specific User

• 👤 To block a particular person, open a direct message chat with them.

Muting or Snoozing DM Notifications
