How to Add a New Password to the Bitwarden Browser Extension

Accessing the Bitwarden Extension

• 💡 Open the Bitwarden browser extension to begin managing your passwords.
• 📌 Navigate to the Vault section within the extension.

Creating a New Login Entry

• ➕ Click the new or plus icon located in the top right corner.
• 🔑 Select the 'Login' item type to add a new password entry.
• 🏷️ Assign a name to your item for easy identification, such as 'test password'.
• 🗂️ Optionally, assign the entry to a folder or keep it without a folder.

Entering Credentials and Security Options

• 👤 Enter the username (email, phone number, etc.) for the account.
• 🔒 Input your existing password or use the password generator to create a strong, new one.
• 🔑 If using the password generator, press 'Use this password' to apply it.
• 🌐 Enter the website URL; the extension may auto-fill this if you are currently on the site.
• 🔐 You can also add an authenticator key if applicable.

Saving and Confirming Your New Password

• ✅ Click 'Save' once all information is entered.
• 🌟 Your new password entry will now be saved in your Bitwarden vault.
