• 💡 The incident started around midnight when a man was withdrawing cash from an ATM near Broadway.

The Kidnapping and Carjacking

• 👤 A suspect hid in the bed of the victim's pickup truck unnoticed as the man drove home.
• 💰 Once parked, the suspect emerged, demanding money, the victim's phone, and keys at gunpoint.
• 🚗 When the victim hesitated, he was forced into his own truck at gunpoint, and the suspect drove off with him still inside.
• ⚠️ The victim was released about half a mile later, and the suspect sped off in the stolen truck.

Police Chase and Crash

• 🚓 HPD officers quickly spotted the stolen vehicle and initiated a pursuit.
