Backing Up to External Storage

• 🔌 Insert your USB drive or SD card into the HONOR X5c Plus to begin the external backup process.
• 🗂️ Navigate to Settings > System & updates > Backup and restore, then select 'Data backup' and choose 'External storage'.
• 🗳️ Select the specific data categories you wish to back up, such as messages, photos, videos, and files, excluding apps if desired.
• 🔒 Create a secure backup password (8-32 characters, including digits, uppercase, and lowercase letters) and an optional hint.

Utilizing Google Backup

• ☁️ Ensure 'Backup to Google' is enabled in the Backup & restore settings.
• 👤 Select your primary Google account for the backup; remember this account for future restoration.

• 💾 Verify you have sufficient free storage space in your Google account; use 'Clean up space' if necessary.

Backing Up with HONOR Suite (PC/Mac)

• 💻 Download and install the HONOR Suite application on your Windows or Mac computer.
• 🔗 Connect your HONOR X5c Plus to your computer using a USB-C cable.
• 📲 On your phone, select 'Transfer file/Android Auto' when prompted for USB connection type.
• ⚙️ Enable USB debugging by going to Settings > System & updates > Developer options (tap 'Build number' multiple times to unlock developer options).
• 🤝 Launch HONOR Suite, allow necessary permissions, and connect your phone by following on-screen prompts, potentially requiring a reboot if connection fails.
• 💾 In HONOR Suite, click the 'Copy' icon to initiate a backup, select the desired data types (messages, photos, music, files, videos, system settings), and click 'Copy' again.
• 🔑 Set a password for the PC backup (8-32 characters with numbers and mixed case letters) and a hint, then click 'OK' to complete the backup.
