HONOR Pad V9: How to Restore Backups and Transfer Data

Transferring Data Wirelessly

• 📱 Begin by selecting your language and region, then connect to a network.
• ➡️ Choose the 'Copy apps and data' option and proceed to 'Next'.
• 🚫 If you lack the necessary USB-C to USB-C cable, select 'Copy without a cable' and then 'Next'.
• 📶 Opt for the wireless transfer method by selecting 'Do it wirelessly' on the tablet.
• 📲 On your secondary device, open the Google app and initiate 'Set up my device'.
• ✅ Verify that the devices are the same and proceed to 'Copy', then authenticate with your Google account password.
• ⚙️ Select the specific data you wish to copy, such as apps, photos, videos, and call history, with the option to manually choose apps.
• ⏳ After initiating the copy, the process will run in the background; click 'OK' and 'Accept' on the tablet.
• 🌐 Enable backup features and set your default browser and search engine.
• 🚀 Complete the setup by choosing navigation gestures or three-key navigation and finishing the process.

Restoring from Google One Backup

• 🔄 During the setup process, select 'Can't use it' when prompted about another device.
• 🔑 Log in to your Google account by entering your email and password.
• 💾 Choose the desired backup from the list of available backups associated with your account.
• 📤 Select the specific data you want to restore and click the 'Restore' button.
• ⚙️ Configure Google services, backup features, default browser, and Google Assistant as needed.
• 🖱️ Skip owner ID and password setup if preferred, then enable location services and choose your navigation method.

Restoring from External Storage

• ⚙️ Navigate to Settings > System & updates > Backup & restore.
• 💾 Select 'Data backup' and then 'External storage'.
• 🔌 Insert your USB storage device, which should then appear.
• 📂 Choose the backup from your USB storage and select the items you wish to restore.
• 🔒 Enter your password to authorize the restoration process.
• ✅ Once the backup is restored, click 'Done' and safely unplug the device.

Restoring with HONOR Suite on PC

• 💻 Launch the HONOR Suite app on your PC and connect your HONOR Pad V9 via USB-C cable.
• 🔌 On the tablet, select 'Use USB to transfer files/Android Auto'.
• 🔧 Enable Developer Options on the tablet by tapping the Build number multiple times in Settings > About tablet.
• 💡 Activate USB Debugging within Developer Options.
• 📲 Install the HONOR Suite app on your device when prompted and grant all necessary permissions.
• 🔑 Enter the provided code into the HONOR Suite app on your PC to connect.
• 📤 Click the 'Restore' button in the HONOR Suite app, select the desired data, and click the blue button to proceed.
• 🔒 Enter your password to confirm and initiate the restoration process.
• ✅ Upon completion, click 'Ready'.
