HONOR Magic8 Pro: How to Enable and Use Power Saving Modes

Accessing Power Saving Features

• 👆 Swipe down from the top right of your HONOR Magic8 Pro screen to access toggles and find the Power Saving mode.
• ➕ If Power Saving mode isn't visible, swipe down again, tap 'Add tile', and select the Ultra Power Saving option to add it to your quick settings.
• ✅ Arrange your preferred tiles by dragging and dropping them, then tap the checkmark to save your layout.

Understanding Normal Power Saving Mode

• 💡 Enabling Normal Power Saving mode activates dark mode, disables Always On Display and auto-sync, restricts background app activity, and reduces visual effects.
• ⚠️ Auto-sync is a key feature affected, meaning the phone disconnects from Wi-Fi and mobile data when not in use, which can delay notifications from apps like WhatsApp and Instagram.
• ⚙️ This mode is ideal for daily use when you anticipate limited charging access for a short period.

Exploring Ultra Power Saving Mode

• 🚀 Ultra Power Saving mode includes all features of Normal Power Saving but also changes the wallpaper to a darker theme, removes most applications from the home screen, and significantly limits notifications and toggles.
• 🔋 A major benefit is the extended battery life estimate, with a nearly full battery showing up to 128 hours remaining.
• 📱 This mode is recommended for emergencies when you have very low battery and no charging access for an extended period.

Battery Usage Estimates and Mode Selection

• 📊 Access detailed battery settings by holding the Power Saving toggle to see estimated battery life for different modes: Balanced (~45 hours), Power Saving (~52 hours), and Ultra Power Saving (~128 hours).
• ⚖️ Choose Normal Power Saving for typical daily use when battery is low but charging is expected soon.
• 🚨 Opt for Ultra Power Saving when the battery is critically low (e.g., 10%) and you need the device to last an entire day or longer without charging.
