Backing Up to External Storage (USB/SD Card)

• 🔌 External storage backup is initiated by navigating to Settings > System and updates > Backup and restore > Data backup.
• 💾 Select "External storage" and choose either USB or an SD card adapter, then tap "Backup".
• 🗄️ You can select specific items to back up or choose "everything" for a full device backup.
• 🔒 A security password (8-32 characters, including uppercase, lowercase, and digits) is required for external storage backups, especially on the first use.
• ✅ Once complete, tap "Done" to confirm the backup is saved to your USB or SD card.

Backing Up to Google Account (Google One)

• ☁️ Ensure "Backup to Google" is enabled in the backup settings.
• 👤 You must be signed into a Google account to perform this backup.
• 💡 Restoring requires signing into the exact same Google account used for the backup.
• 📊 Enable "Backup by Google One" and tap the backup button, ensuring sufficient free storage space.
• ⏳ The backup progress is shown by a bar; completion is indicated when the bar disappears and a notification appears.

Backing Up with Honor Suite (PC)

• 💻 Download and install the Honor Suite application from the official Honor website for Windows or Mac.
• 🔌 Connect your HONOR Magic8 Pro to your computer using a USB-C cable.
• ⚙️ Enable "Developer Options" by tapping the "Build number" in "About phone", then enable "USB debugging" within Developer Options.
• 📲 The phone will prompt to install Honor Suite; agree and allow permissions.
• 🔗 Pair your phone with the Honor Suite app by entering a code, then click "Connect".
• 🗄️ In Honor Suite, click "Backup", select desired data, set a password (8-32 characters, mixed case and digits), and start the backup process to your computer.
• 🎉 Upon completion, click "Done" and you can safely unplug your phone.
