Jesus: The Superior High Priest

• 👑 Jesus is presented as a high priest who sits at the right hand of God in heaven, serving in the true tabernacle.
• 🏛️ Earthly priests served in a sanctuary that was merely a copy and shadow of the heavenly one, built according to a pattern shown on the mountain.
• 🚀 Jesus' ministry is superior to the Levitical priests' because it is founded on a better covenant with better promises.

The Obsolete First Covenant

• 📜 The first covenant, made with Israel and Judah, proved inadequate because the people did not remain faithful.
• 💔 God found fault with the people's inability to keep the first covenant, leading to the need for a new one.
• ⏳ The first covenant, being obsolete and aging, was destined to soon disappear.

The New Covenant Explained

• ✍️ God promises a new covenant where His laws will be put in their minds and written on their hearts.
• ❤️ All people will know the Lord from the least to the greatest, and their wickedness will be forgiven.
• 🕊️ This new covenant signifies a transformation, making the old one obsolete.

The Earthly Tabernacle and Its Limitations

• 🚪 The first tabernacle had an outer room (holy place) and an inner room (most holy place) containing the ark of the covenant.
• 🩸 Only the high priest could enter the most holy place once a year, and never without blood offered for himself and the people's sins.
• 🚫 The limitations of the first tabernacle showed that the way into the most holy place was not yet fully disclosed, and sacrifices could not clear the conscience.
• ⏳ These regulations were external and applied only until the time of the new order.
