Grandmother Jumps into Pool to Save Non-Swimmer Grandson, Both Rescued

Pool Rescue Incident

• 👶 A 5-year-old boy was found unresponsive and floating face down in a backyard swimming pool in Lauderdale Lakes.
• 🏊‍♀️ His grandmother, Carmen Frasier, who cannot swim, immediately jumped into the pool to save him upon discovering him.
• 🆘 Fortunately, a good Samaritan, Victoria Fronton, was nearby and heard the grandmother's screams, coming to their aid.

Rescue and Recovery

• 🌊 Fronton first rescued the grandmother from the pool.
• ⚕️ Another individual then pulled the unresponsive boy from the water, and Fronton performed CPR.
• 🏥 Both the grandmother and the young boy were transported to the hospital and survived the ordeal.

Safety Concerns Raised

• 🔒 The grandmother expressed blame towards the lack of safety screens and locks on the pool, stating her grandson would not have been able to enter if it were secure.
• 🔍 The circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation by BSO.
• 🏥 The 5-year-old boy remains in the hospital in critical but stable condition.
