GMC Sierra Quadrasteer Restoration

• 🛠️ A 2005 GMC Sierra with the rare Quadrasteer (rear-wheel steering) was acquired and immediately addressed for mechanical issues.
• 💡 A misfiring fuel injector was fixed with 'love taps', and the Quadrasteer system received new tie rods and a center support bearing.
• ✅ An exhaust manifold leak was DIY-repaired, and all fluids and filters were replaced as part of a comprehensive service.
• 💧 A transmission pan gasket leak was diagnosed and fixed by replacing a thin rubber gasket with a thicker, OE-style one.
• 🎨 The Sierra then received a complete paint job at MAACO in Waukegan, Illinois, with a custom blue color.

GMC Typhoon Interior & Audio Overhaul

• ✨ The 1992 GMC Typhoon's interior was removed for deep cleaning, including the carpet and seats.
• 🔊 Sound deadening material was extensively applied to the floors and roof to reduce road noise and rattles.
• 🎶 A refurbished, period-correct radio with Bluetooth was installed, along with new Kicker speakers and a Bazooka subwoofer.
• ⚙️ Manual seat bolster bladder hoses were replaced, and a rare, expensive center console was sourced and restored.
• 🚪 Door panels were swapped from cloth to leather, and various other trim pieces and the rear window were replaced or refurbished.

Upgrades and Customization

• 💡 Both the Sierra and Typhoon received new headlights from HID Projectors, featuring custom logos.
• 🚀 Belltech sway bars were installed on the Typhoon to improve handling.
• 🛞 The Sierra's torsion bars were adjusted to level the front suspension, and Nitto Ridge Grappler tires were mounted on new wheels.
• 🛡️ A TANO hard rolling bed cover and toolboxes were installed on the Sierra for added utility and storage.
• ⚫ The Sierra's frame and undercarriage were treated with a black coating and Amsoil's Heavy Duty Metal Protector for rust prevention.
• 🌟 The Typhoon received a ceramic coating (Armor Shield MAX) for enhanced paint protection and gloss, and its cladding was restored.
