Accessing Your BitLocker Recovery Key

• 🔑 If your Gateway GWNR71517 laptop gets locked during recovery, you'll need your BitLocker recovery key.
• 💡 To find it, log into your Microsoft account via aka.ms/myrecoverykey on another device.
• 📌 You can search for the key using your device name, upload date, or the key ID displayed if your PC is locked.

Entering Recovery Mode from Windows

• 💻 Press and hold the right Shift button on your keyboard.
• 🚀 Navigate to the Start menu, then Power Options, and select Restart while still holding Shift.
• ⚠️ Continue holding Shift until the recovery menu appears on your screen.

Entering Recovery Mode Without Windows

• 🔌 Ensure your Gateway GWNR71517 is turned off.
• ⚡ Turn on the laptop by pressing the power button, and as soon as it starts booting, press and hold the power button again until it shuts down.
• 🔄 Repeat this power on/off cycle until you see "Preparing Automatic Repair" or a similar message beneath the logo.

Navigating Recovery Options

• 🖱️ Once in the recovery environment, you can use your touchpad or arrow keys and Enter to navigate.
• 🛠️ Select "Advanced options" to access troubleshoot, reset, or repair functionalities.
