Fishing Hotspots and Techniques

• 🎣 Tarpon fishing is excellent in the Everglades, with juvenile fish up to 30 lbs being caught on fly rods or live bait.
• 💡 For tarpon, try a 10-weight rod with a sink tip fly, twitching it just under the grass, or use live bait under a cork for rolling fish.
• 🐟 Snook fishing remains fantastic this time of year, and tripletail can also be found under bushes.
• 🌊 In the Florida Keys, jack crevalle up to 15 lbs are actively hitting live bait pushed through bridges.
• 🐬 Offshore reports include good catches of dolphin, sightings of wahoo, and plenty of yellowtail.

• 🌦️ Broward County: Expect a 30% chance of early morning rain on Saturday, clearing to a great afternoon and Sunday.
• ☀️ Miami-Dade County: Inland fishing will see highs around 86°F with a 40% chance of rain mainly before noon on Saturday; the rest of the weekend looks dry.
• 🌊 Offshore Conditions: Seas are running 2-4 feet with a 4ft swell from the west in Broward, and a 4ft swell from the northeast in Miami-Dade. The Keys will have calmer seas of 1-3 feet outside the reef.

• 📍 The Gulf Stream location has shifted: Fouye Rocks is 29 miles north-northeast, Port Everglades is 10 miles northeast, and Alligator Reef Lighthouse is about 8 nautical miles southeast of Islamorada.
