Mistaken Deportation of a Student

• 🎯 A federal judge has ordered the government to rectify a mistaken deportation of Annie Lopez Beayosa, a 19-year-old freshman at Babson College.
• ✈️ Lopez Beayosa was arrested by ICE agents at Boston's Logan Airport while on her way to visit family in Texas.
• ⚠️ She was deported to Honduras, despite the Department of Homeland Security admitting there had been an order of removal issued for her since 2015 when she was a child.

Judicial Intervention and Student's Plea

• ⚖️ A judge has given the government 21 days to respond to the situation and recommended that Lopez Beayosa's student visa be extended.
• 💬 Lopez Beayosa stated, "I am no criminal and I have no criminal record under my name. I haven't done nothing wrong in the country and I just hope that I'm able to to be given that chance to to return and to continue living as as a student."
• 🏛️ The Department of Homeland Security has not yet responded in court to Lopez Beayosa's request to return.
