FBI's Role in the Investigation

• 🤝 The FBI's New York Field Office, represented by Assistant Director in Charge Christopher Rea, is offering its full support to the NYPD in investigating the Midtown Manhattan shooting.
• 💡 Agents were immediately deployed to the scene upon learning of the incident to assist local partners.
• ⚠️ While the investigation remains primarily with the NYPD, the FBI is prepared to provide any and all resources necessary.

Initial Findings and Information Sharing

• 🔍 Initial checks of internal FBI systems have not yet yielded any information about the shooting suspect.
• 🗣️ The FBI will share information with the public as it becomes available and when it can be done responsibly.
