New Funding Mechanism for Ukraine

• ⚠️ Belgium, where Euroclear is based, has expressed reluctance due to potential legal jeopardy and Russia's claims of theft.
• 🛡️ The indefinite freeze aims to prevent EU member states friendly with Russia, such as Hungary and Slovakia, from vetoing the renewal of sanctions.
• 🇺🇸 It also serves to prevent the US from attempting to return the funds as part of a peace deal.
