Elijah's Test on Mount Carmel: Proving God's Power

The Drought and Ahab's Blame

The Challenge on Mount Carmel

• 🗣️ The 450 prophets of Baal called on their god from morning till noon with no response, while Elijah taunted them, highlighting their god's inactivity and lack of power.

Elijah's Prayer and Divine Intervention

• 🛠️ Elijah repaired the altar of the Lord, using 12 stones to represent the tribes of Israel, and soaked the offering and wood with water.
• 🙏 He prayed for God to reveal Himself, asking, "Answer me, O Lord, answer me, so these people will know that you, O Lord, are God and that you are turning their hearts back again."
• ✨ The fire of the Lord descended, consuming the sacrifice, wood, stones, and soil, and even licking up the water in the trench, irrefutably demonstrating God's power.

Aftermath and Restoration

• 📣 The people cried out, "The Lord, he is God!" and Elijah commanded the prophets of Baal to be seized and brought down to the Kishon Valley.
• ☁️ Following the demonstration, Elijah heard the sound of heavy rain and, after praying, saw a cloud as small as a man's hand rising from the sea, signaling the end of the drought.
