Easy No-Dig Potato Tower Gardening Method

The Potato Tower Advantage

• 🥔 This method, called a potato tower, is a favorite for growing potatoes with no digging required, making it ideal for those with back issues.
• 💡 It eliminates the need to remove turf, as the grass underneath will simply die back once compost is added.

Space-Saving Potato Cultivation

Building and Planting the Tower

• 🧱 To start, add a layer of organic matter such as manure, compost, or grass clippings to the base of the tower.
• 🌱 Place two to three seed potatoes on top of this layer and cover them with more compost or grass clippings.

Growing and Harvesting

• 🌿 As the potato shoots begin to grow, continue topping up the tower with compost or grass clippings, similar to earthing up.
• 🌻 Continue adding material until the plants start to flower. After flowering, the tower can be dismantled for an exceptionally easy harvest.
