Driveway Grading, Shop Pad Construction, and Tree Removal Project

Driveway and Pad Preparation

• 🚚 Hauling and spreading dirt to soften slopes and build up the driveway entrance.
• 🧱 Screening material is being dumped for the pad and will be covered with stone for the driveway approach.
• 💡 A small corner that used to be a pond was graded to improve drainage.

Pad Construction and Site Cleanup

• 🏗️ A total of 26 loads of dirt were moved to construct the new shop pad.
• 🌱 Dug-out material was spread, grass was planted, and the area was covered with clean dirt.
• 🪵 Brush and tree debris were piled up for a future burn pile.

Tree Removal and Site Clearing

• 🌳 10 Bradford pear trees were removed due to their brittle nature and the cleanup issues they caused.
• ⚡ The tree removal was necessary to facilitate the moving of a power pole and trenching a new power line for the shop.
• 🚛 Tree debris was loaded into a truck, with approximately one load per tree, creating large piles for burning.

Final Site Finishing

• 🧹 Leaves were blown and raked, and the debris was power-raked and loaded out.
• ✨ The new shop pad was completed, leveled, and sloped to tie into the surrounding area.
• 🚧 The pad was raised about four to five inches, allowing for a monolithic slab with footings to be poured later, which will provide extra dirt to backfill the concrete edge.
