Expanded DMV Hours and Locations

• ⏰ Over a dozen DMV locations are expanding their hours, opening early at 7:00 a.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays through June 25th.
• 📍 This initiative aims to avoid congestion and long lines, with specific early hours reserved for those with appointments.
• 🗺️ Southern California offices opening early include Thousand Oaks, Van Nuys, Arleta, Glendale, Pasadena, Culver City, Westminster, Costa Mesa, San Clemente, and Rancho Cucamonga.

Real ID Application Process

• 💻 While the application process can be started online, an in-person visit to a DMV office is still required to complete it.
• 📄 Applicants need to bring current proof of ID, two documents proving residency, and their full social security number.
• ⏱️ Officials anticipate longer lines but suggest the in-person portion, once started online, should take no longer than 15 minutes.
• 🚗 A valid US passport or passport card can still be used as an alternative for security checkpoints and federal facilities.
