• 🛠️ Cardboard is used to construct a platform for the bed base and a separate, shorter platform for the mattress.
• 🌟 The headboard is crafted from cardboard, with its height adjusted to complement the bed base.

Upholstering the Bed

• ☁️ Two layers of felt are applied to the mattress platform for cushioning, then covered with white satin fabric.
• 🛏️ The bed base is similarly upholstered with felt on the sides and covered in satin, ensuring a secure attachment to the headboard.
• ✨ A foam tube is covered with satin fabric to create a decorative, gathered edge for the headboard, enhancing its glam look.

Creating Bedding and Pillows

• 🧵 A satin sheet is made by sewing two rectangles together, leaving an opening for flipping and then stitching closed.
• 🧸 Standard pillows are created by sewing small fabric rectangles, stuffing them, and closing the opening.
• 💖 For a pop of color, a pink fuzzy fabric is layered with cotton and artificial snow to create a new blanket and matching pillows.

Barbie Fashion Fever Vanity Restoration

• 🔍 An out-of-box Barbie Fashion Fever vanity from 2005 is acquired, featuring drawers that open and a decorative mirror.
• 🪑 A missing stool cushion is recreated by tracing the seat onto cardboard, adding felt layers, and covering it with fabric matching the new bedding.
• 🏡 The DIY bed and restored vanity contribute to a Barbie room with a mix of early 2000s pieces and handmade items.
