Overnight Severe Weather Threat

• ⚠️ A tornado watch is in effect for Dallas-Fort Worth and much of North Texas until 7 a.m.
• ⚡ While the risk of tornadoes is lower than earlier, embedded spin-ups are possible.
• 🎯 The intensity of thunderstorms is expected to decrease as they move east, with the severe threat lower for Dallas compared to Fort Worth and areas further west.
• ⛈️ Hail and gusty winds are also potential threats with the overnight storms.

Easter Sunday Weather Outlook

• ⛪ Expect rain and scattered thunderstorms around for Easter Sunday morning services.
• 💨 Winds will be from the southwest at 15 to 25 miles per hour.
• 🌤️ Clouds and scattered rain are forecast to clear out by mid to late morning.
• ☀️ The afternoon will feature lots of sunshine with temperatures around 74 degrees.

Rainfall and Extended Forecast

• 🌧️ Areas northwest of the metroplex have already received 4-6 inches of rain overnight.
• 💧 Dallas is expected to see half an inch to an inch of rain, with Denton and Tarrant counties receiving one to two inches.
• 📈 Temperatures will be in the 70s and 80s for the upcoming week, with unsettled weather and more scattered shower and storm chances returning in the second half of the 14-day forecast.
