Honoring a Beloved Principal

• 🎗️ A 5K race is being held this Saturday to honor the late Robert Becker, known as "Mr. B", who served as principal at Embassy Creek Elementary School for over 20 years.
• 💔 Mr. Becker passed away from cancer a year and a half ago, but his legacy of making people happy continues to inspire.

A Passion for Running and Kids

• 🏃 Mr. Becker had a deep love for running, participating in races like the New York City Marathon and events from Key West to Tampa.
• 👨‍🏫 His colleague, Coach Larry Lynch, remembers Mr. B's dedication to students for over 30 years, noting his ability to connect with children from kindergarten to fifth grade.
• 🌟 Mr. Becker was known for his unwavering motivation and his passion for his job as principal.

The BeckerStrong 5K Mission

• 🏁 The BeckerStrong 5K aims to celebrate Mr. Becker's life and legacy, bringing the community together.
• 🔬 A key goal of the event is to raise awareness for Lommyosarcoma, an extremely rare form of sarcoma.
• 🎓 Proceeds from the 5K will support sarcoma research and provide scholarships for Broward County students, a cause Mr. Becker championed.
