Storm Impact and Radar Update

• 🌧️ An atmospheric river continues to move over Southern California, bringing heavy rain, downed trees, power lines, flooding, sinkholes, and potholes.
• 📍 Live radar shows pockets of heavier rain over Ventura County, with the heaviest rain for the greater Los Angeles area now behind us.
• 🌦️ Scattered showers are expected to continue through Sunday, with a secondary system approaching Monday into Tuesday.

Evacuation Warnings and Orders

• ⚠️ Evacuation warnings are in effect for many burn scar areas around LA County, including Canyon, Bethany, Eaton, Palisades, Hurst, Kenneth, Sunset, Lydia, Franklin, and Bridge.
• 🚨 Mandatory evacuation orders are in place for select properties at heightened risk for mud and debris flows, with residents already contacted by law enforcement.
• ⛰️ Evacuation warnings have also been issued for burn scar areas in Ventura County (Mountain Fire, Matilah Canyon, North Folk, Camino Sello) and San Bernardino County (Line and Bridge Fire).

Road Impacts and Conditions

• 🚗 Steady rain in South Pasadena caused a section of Edgewood Drive to open up, swallowing a maintenance truck's tire.
• 🏞️ Highway 330 in the San Bernardino Mountains experienced multiple mud flows and small rock slides due to the storm hammering the area.
• 🚧 CALTRANS patrolled Highway 330 with snow plows, successfully keeping the highway open and navigable despite the debris.
