ASUS VivoBook Go: Fix Touchpad & Cursor Not Working (Keyboard Only)

Initial Touchpad Checks

• 💡 Check the F6 key to see if the touchpad is enabled or disabled.
• 🔑 If F6 doesn't work, look for the Fn key next to the Windows button. If it's lit, secondary functions are locked. Press Fn + Esc to toggle the Fn key lock and then try F6 again.

Enabling Touchpad in Windows Settings

• ⚙️ Press the Windows key, then Tab and arrow keys to navigate to Settings.
• 🖱️ In Settings, go to Bluetooth & devices, then Touchpad.
• ➡️ If the touchpad is off, use the spacebar to toggle it on.

Using Device Manager for Drivers

• 💻 Press the Windows key and search for Device Manager, then press Enter.
• 👆 Navigate to Human Interface Devices, expand it with the right arrow key, and find ASUS Precision Touchpad.
• 🔌 Press Tab to reach the driver options, then the right arrow key to select the Driver section.
• ⚠️ Try disabling and then re-enabling the device by selecting Disable device, pressing Enter, choosing 'Yes' with the left arrow, and pressing Enter again.

Reinstalling Touchpad Drivers

• 🗑️ If disabling/enabling didn't work, select the touchpad in Device Manager, press Tab to Uninstall device, and press Enter.
• 🔄 You can also attempt to remove drivers by pressing spacebar on 'Uninstall device' and then pressing Enter.

Restarting and Next Steps

• 💻 After uninstalling drivers, close Device Manager with Alt + F4.
• 🚀 Select Restart from the shutdown options using the down arrow key and press Enter to reboot your laptop.
• 🛠️ If the touchpad still doesn't work after these steps, your hardware may be malfunctioning. Contact ASUS support or a repair center.
