Ashes of Creation: Step-by-Step Character Creation Guide

Accessing the Character Creator

• 🚪 To begin, open the main menu by pressing the escape key or the corresponding controller button.
• ➡️ From the main menu, select the "Log out & switch character" option to access the character selection screen.
• ➕ On the character selection screen, press "Create character" to enter the character creator.

Character Basics: Naming, Sex, Race, and Archetype

• ✍️ Name your character with a name between 3 and 16 characters long.
• 🚻 Choose between male and female character models.
• 🌎 Select from various races, including Dwarves, Dunir, Halflings, Nikqua, Emperion (Elves), Py (Satyrs/Wood Elves), Kar (Humans), Veun (Greek-looking Humans), Ren Kai (Orcs), and Ve (Trolls/Shadow Elves).
• ⚔️ Preview armor and choose an archetype (class) such as Bard, Cleric, Fighter, Mage, Ranger, Rogue, Summoner, or Tank.

Appearance Customization

• 🎨 Navigate to the "Appearance" tab to adjust sex and select a full body preset as a starting point.
• 📏 Utilize sliders to modify body shape, height, weight, chest, arms, and legs.
• 🌈 Choose the skin color, adjusting hue and pigmentation, and fine-tune muscle tone and wrinkles.
• 💇‍♀️ Customize hairstyles, hair length, and hair color (primary and secondary).
• 🧔 Adjust facial hair styles, length, and color, or opt for no beard.
• 👁️ Modify face presets, eye color, and other facial features like ears and nose.
• ✨ Add markings, scars, and adjust their intensity, color, angle, and size.
• 🔍 Individually sculpt facial features with fine control over specific points for unprecedented detail.

Finalizing and Deleting Characters

• 🗺️ Select a starting region (e.g., Divine Gateway of Iela) and a character background.
• ✅ Hit "Create character" to finalize your new character.
• 🗑️ To delete a character, press the delete button on the character selection screen and type "delete" (case-sensitive) to confirm.
