Ally Truit: From Shark Attack Survivor to Marathon Runner and Paralympian

Surviving a Traumatic Shark Attack

• 🦈 Ally Truit, a competitive swimmer, was attacked by a shark while snorkeling in Turks and Caicos on May 24th, 2023, two days after graduating from Yale.

• ✈️ She was airlifted from the Caribbean to Miami for surgery and then transferred to New York City for further treatment and amputation.

The NYC Marathon Journey
