How to Set and Disable the Camera Timer on POCO M8 Pro 5G

Accessing the Camera Timer

• 📸 Open the camera app on your POCO M8 Pro 5G and ensure you are in standard photo mode.
• ➡️ Locate the option bar at the top and tap the arrow icon in the middle.

Setting the Timer Delay

• ⏳ Within the timer options, you will find an hourglass icon; tap this to access the delay settings.
• ⏱️ Choose your desired delay from the available options: Off, 3s, 5s, or 10s.
• ⚠️ Be aware that the POCO M8 Pro 5G does not display a permanent on-screen indicator that the timer is set, so remember your selection.

Taking Timed Photos

• ▶️ Once the timer is set, simply tap the shutter button to initiate the countdown.
• 📸 The device will then count down the selected seconds before automatically taking the photo.

Disabling Night Mode Delay

• 🌙 If Night Mode is active, it can add an additional delay to your photos. Turn off the moon icon to disable this.

Turning Off the Timer Completely

• 🚫 To ensure photos are taken immediately upon tapping the shutter, go back to the timer settings and select the 'Off' option or tap the crossed-out timer icon.
• ✅ This will disable the timer entirely, allowing for instant photo capture.
