Azune's Origin Story

• 💡 The episode opens with a flashback to Azune's childhood, where he and his sister Mayali are forced to undergo a grueling physical test to join a mercenary company, the Gallow's Choir, due to their family's dire circumstances.
• 💔 Azune's parents, weakened by starvation, make the ultimate sacrifice by giving their children a chance at survival, leading to Azune and Mayali being taken by the mercenaries.
• 🧠 This traumatic event deeply impacts Azune, instilling in him a resolve to make their sacrifice worthwhile and never forget his family, despite the fading memories.

Flight to Castle Torch

• 🚀 The party, having escaped Riesingürtle and a skirmish with House Tachonis forces, takes to the skies on Altradler, a massive, ancient eagle provided by the Druids of Seasons, Stone, and Hunt.
• ⛈️ During the flight, they are pursued by magical spirits summoned by Petra and Ryah, but are protected by the combined efforts of Amadah's weather control and Hannan's lightning spells, allowing Altradler to outpace their pursuers.
• 🎁 Amadah provides the party with several druidic magic items, including a Walker's Ward for Occtis, various charms, Embers of Arask, and the Kibbenimkedaz, a book of stone names.

Castle Torch Revelations

• 🏰 Upon arrival at Castle Torch, the party is greeted by Sir Tonweld Kerzingblad and Captain Luca Phaedron, where they learn that Alogar, Thaisha's son, has been deployed to the Barrowdell (Eternal Night).
• 🐍 It is revealed that House Tachonis, specifically Occtis's sisters, orchestrated this deployment through deception, using a false missive to send a significant portion of the Barrowguard into the dangerous Eternal Night.
• ⚔️ The party confronts Captain Phaedron with the truth of House Tachonis's betrayal against House Royce and Davinos, exposing their machinations and the attack on Dol-Makjar.

Divided Paths and New Missions

• 🗺️ Faced with the immediate threat to Alogar and the broader implications of House Tachonis's actions, the party decides to head into the Eternal Night to find Alogar and the missing Barrowguard contingent.
• 🤝 Dame Gaya Seremai, a vassal knight of House Tachonis who was deceived, is relieved of her command and joins the party on their perilous journey into the Eternal Night.
• 💔 Aranessa Royce makes the difficult decision to separate from the main group, opting to travel north to the Golden Orchard with bodyguards to ascertain the fate of her House and family, while Vaelus discerns Aranessa's deep, hidden pain and the burden of her inherited position.
